A rare plant born from extreme shores
Crithmum maritimum, better known as sea fennel, is a rare halophyte plant that thrives on windswept, sun-drenched coastal cliffs and rocky shores, constantly exposed to sea spray.These hostile conditions, where most plants cannot survive, have given it exceptional resilience thanks to its unique lipid composition and remarkable ability to retain water and contains a high level of "vegetal retinol".
In the wild, it grows right on the edge of the sea, in an environment shaped by waves and salt. This botanical treasure is harvested sustainably, and its active ingredient is obtained through a specific oil-based extraction from the waxes found in its flowers and leaves.
